2021 Teaching Positions (closed)

The Nature School Primary opened at the Innes Lake Community Centre in Port Macquarie in 2018. We are growing with our oldest students, who are currently in Year 4 in 2020. We will reach K-6 in 2022. We are now seeking applications from a creative, innovative and dynamic Lower Primary Teacher to join the adventure. This is a part time position (Thursday / Friday).

We are also seeking Expressions of Interest for a classroom Music teacher. This is a part time position (one day per week). Music at The Nature School involves singing, djembes, guitars and more ... and we take music outdoors as much as possible! Please note this position still requires NESA accreditation as music lessons provide RFF for teaching staff.

At TNS Primary our classroom extends beyond the mudbrick walls, and whether inside or out we deliver curriculum aligned, innovative education with a nature focus. There is a de-emphasis on textbooks in favour of varied learning resources, and students are given time and space to learn from and engage with the natural world. Children at TNS Primary are encouraged to take risks, make mistakes, persist, think outside the box, assess situations from different perspectives and work cooperatively. Teachers are encouraged to do the same!

If you are looking for a school with a difference, love the outdoors, align with our mission and think you have something unique to bring to our team, we would love to hear from you. Candidates must hold relevant qualifications, current NESA accreditation number, and WWCC number for paid employment.
